Titagarh Rail Programs Ltd on Monday handed over its first driverless, Made-in-India trainset to Bengaluru Metro Rail Company’s Yellow Line, marking a major milestone in India’s city mobility journey.
The corporate constructed the trainset in its metro manufacturing facility in Uttarpara in West Bengal.
The automated practice with a chrome steel physique, designed for state-of-the-art efficiency, will function on the 18-km stretch linking Electronics Metropolis to the remainder of Bengaluru. Titagarh will ship two extra trainsets to the Yellow Line by April and ramp up manufacturing to ship two trains a month by September 2025.
