At the least 36 Amarnath pilgrims, hailing from totally different states, suffered minor accidents when 5 buses slammed into one another in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Saturday, officers stated.

Sinha had requested senior officers to stay on alert and guarantee all obligatory preparations for a hassle-free journey of the pilgrims, a spokesperson of the Raj Bhavan stated.

Whereas 4,226 pilgrims left in 161 automobiles for the Nunwan base camp for the 48-kilometre conventional Pahalgam route, 2,753 pilgrims had been headed for the shorter however steeper 14-kilometre Baltal route in 151 automobiles.

In the meantime, a Central Reserve Police Pressure (CRPF) spokesperson stated the injured pilgrims hailed from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Together with the Ramban district administration, the cell medical group of the 84 Battalion of the CRPF rushed to the spot, supplied fast medical consideration and helped within the evacuation of the injured pilgrims, he stated.
