The All India Client Merchandise Distributors Federation (AICPDF) on Saturday, January 4, 2025, raised issues over an commercial by Swiggy Instamart.
The commercial in query reportedly urges customers to “Cease Grocery Purchases from Retail Retailers! We Ship in 10 Minutes,” a message that AICPDF alleges threatens the livelihoods of tens of millions of small retailers and distributors throughout India.
In a put up on social media platform X, the AICPDF expressed alarm over what it described as a “surprising and brazen” try to disrupt the standard retail ecosystem.
The organisation said that the marketing campaign represents an “open assault” on India’s 1.3 crore retailers and eight lakh distributors, who kind the spine of the nation’s economic system.

“Such predatory campaigns, if left unchecked, will dismantle the spine of our economic system—our small retailers—leaving tens of millions of households in despair,” the AICPDF mentioned.
Highlighting the crucial function performed by conventional retailers and distributors, the federation urged the federal government to take rapid and decisive motion to curb what it termed as “ruthless assaults” on the retail sector.
In response to the AICPDF, unchecked dominance by massive platforms might result in monopolistic practices that undermine financial independence and exacerbate unemployment.
Till 5 pm, Swiggy Instamart has not issued a public response to the allegations.
