Asia Index, subsidiary of inventory change BSE, on Friday introduced the launch of a brand new index – BSE Dividend Leaders 50. The index measures the efficiency of corporations within the BSE 500 index which have persistently paid dividends over the previous 10 years. It’s reconstituted yearly in December, Asia Index stated in a press release.
“This index shines a highlight on high quality companies which have demonstrated constant dividend payouts — an indicator of monetary resilience, capital self-discipline, and shareholder dedication,” Ashutosh Singh, MD and CEO of Asia Index, stated.
This new index can be utilized for working passive methods akin to ETFs and Index Funds in addition to gauging the efficiency of assorted sectors in India, Asia Index stated.
Additionally, it may be used for benchmarking of PMS methods, mutual fund schemes and fund portfolios, it added.
