Asia-Pacific markets traded blended Monday as traders assessed U.S. President Donald Trump’s prolonged deadline on the imposition of fifty% tariffs on imports from the European Union.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 elevated 0.72% whereas the broader Topix index added 0.51%.
In South Korea, the Kospi index superior 0.88% whereas the small-cap Kosdaq gained 1.08%.
Mainland China’s CSI 300 index edged down 0.17% on the open whereas Hong Kong’s Hold Seng Index fell 0.49%.
Over in Australia, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 was flat.
