Indian markets ended increased on March 17, with the Sensex gaining 341 factors to shut at 74,169, whereas the Nifty rose 112 factors to settle at 22,509.
Sector-wise, auto, banking, steel, energy, and pharma shares superior 0.5-1.5 per cent, whereas realty and media slipped 0.5 per cent every. The BSE Midcap index gained 0.7 per cent, whereas the Smallcap index ended flat.
Prime gainers on the Nifty included Bajaj Finserv, SBI Life, Dr Reddy’s, Trent, and Axis Financial institution, whereas Britannia, Hero MotoCorp, Wipro, BPCL, and ITC lagged behind.
