The Directorate Normal of Overseas Commerce (DGFT) which comes underneath the Ministry of Commerce & Trade on Monday reduces a number of procedural restrictions on the export of value-added leather-based merchandise.

“The obligatory requirement for testing and certification by the Central Leather-based Analysis Institute (CLRI) for export of such leather-based merchandise has been distributed with, based on the ministry.
Earlier, the federal government made these exports restricted to particular notified ports.
Nonetheless, with the entire elimination of export duties on these leather-based classes and the clear visible and technical distinction between uncooked and processed leather-based, the federal government has deemed the sooner procedural checks as redundant.
The choice follows intensive consultations with key stakeholders within the sector, together with the Council for Leather-based Exports, leather-based exporters, and the CLRI.
