An IndiGo flight from Surat to Dubai carrying round 150 passengers was diverted to Ahmedabad on Thursday morning after the plane developed a technical downside.
The flight, which took off from Surat at 9:30 am, landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Worldwide Airport in Ahmedabad about an hour and a half later.
Airport officers confirmed that the pilots made a precautionary emergency touchdown after detecting a technical snag. Passengers had been delayed for practically two hours earlier than IndiGo organized another plane.

The substitute flight took off from Ahmedabad round 1:45 pm and later landed in Dubai at 1:35 pm native time.
