A robust earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck southeastern Afghanistan on Thursday (September 4), in response to the German Analysis Centre for Geosciences (GFZ). The tremor, at a shallow depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), was recorded at 34.57°N latitude and 70.75°E longitude.
The most recent quake comes simply days after a collection of devastating earthquakes killed greater than 2,200 folks and left over 3,600 injured in japanese Afghanistan. Total villages had been flattened, and tens of hundreds stay homeless as rescue operations proceed within the quake-hit provinces.
Tremors in India
Sturdy tremors had been felt in components of north India, together with Delhi NCR, Jammu and Kashmir, and adjoining areas. Residents reported shaking buildings and rushed outside as a precaution. No instant studies of harm or casualties have been acquired from India.
