In accordance with the German Analysis Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), a 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit on Wednesday close to the Myanmar-India border.
The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles), GFZ mentioned.
Tremors have been reported in a number of areas of the Northeast, together with Dimapur district in Nagaland and Shillong, Meghalaya.
