Mumbai’s Elphinstone Street Over Bridge (ROB) is closed from twenty fifth April for 2 years for demolition and reconstruction as a part of the Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector undertaking.
The bridge connects Parel and Prabhadevi, and its closure will trigger visitors disruptions and diversions in close by areas similar to Dadar, Decrease Parel, Curry Street, and Bharatmata Junction.
The 100-year-old bridge shall be changed with a contemporary double-decker construction to ease congestion and enhance east-west visitors move.
The brand new bridge can have two ranges: one for a 2+2 lane carriageway and the second for a 2+2 lane stretch connecting the Mumbai Trans Harbour Hyperlink to the Bandra-Worli Sea Hyperlink.
The bigger Sewri-Worli Elevated Connector undertaking, which spans 4.5 km, will join key roads, providing a seamless hall that reduces journey time and supplies signal-free entry between central and south Mumbai.
