New York Metropolis Comptroller and mayoral candidate Brad Lander was detained Tuesday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement brokers as he was escorting a defendant out of immigration court docket, his spouse mentioned in an announcement.
“Whereas escorting a defendant out of immigration court docket at 26 Federal Plaza, Brad was taken by masked brokers and detained by ICE,” Lander’s spouse, Meg Barnette, wrote on X.
