A girl was killed and 4 others had been injured after a 20-year-old man, allegedly intoxicated, crashed into their two-wheelers in Gujarat’s Vadodara metropolis within the early hours of Friday, March 14.
Rakshit Chaurasiya, a regulation scholar at a personal college in Vadodara, was driving a automobile round 12.30 am close to Muktanand cross roads within the Karelibaug space when the incident occurred. Rakshit Chaurasiya has been arrested, stated Deputy Commissioner of Police Panna Momaya.
In keeping with the eyewitness who caught Rakshit Chaurasiya after the incident, the accused appeared drunk and was shouting ‘one other spherical, one other spherical’ after popping out of the automobile.
The accused initially hails from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased lady has been recognized as Hemali Patel, who was using her scooter on the time of the accident.
“The automobile belonged to his good friend Mit Chauhan, who was sitting within the co-driver’s seat when Rakshit Chaurasiya rammed the automobile into some two-wheelers at full pace whereas going in the direction of Muktanand circle,” she stated.
A video of the incident has now surfaced on social media wherein Mit Chauhan might be heard popping out of the automobile and blaming Rakshit Chaurasiya for the crash because the latter retains shouting ‘one other spherical, one other spherical’.
At one level, Rakshit Chaurasiya is even heard shouting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’.
“Primarily, the automobile was over rushing. This may also be a case of drunk driving. We’ll conduct his medical take a look at to find out whether or not he was inebriated,” stated DCP, including that Rakshit Chaurasiya does have a driving licence.
