Pahalgam Terror Assault: India has summoned Pakistan’s prime diplomat, Saad Ahmad Warraich, in Delhi final evening, and handed over the formal Persona non grata word for its navy diplomats, in keeping with sources quoted by information company ANI.
The transfer got here hours after India imposed diplomatic sanctions on Pakistan, suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and downgrading ties in retaliation for a lethal terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians, largely vacationers.
The choice to downgrade diplomatic ties with Pakistan in view of cross-border hyperlinks to the Pahalgam terror assault was taken within the Cupboard Committee on Safety (CCS) assembly held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence on April 23.
