However, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 3.77 per cent), TVS Motor Firm Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson Worldwide Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) completed as the highest losers of the day.
The Nifty Auto index closed 0.53 per cent down at 21951.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 30.25 factors at 22959.5, whereas the BSE Sensex stood up 57.65 factors at 75996.86.
