Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has launched new flight routes from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, to be operated by IndiGo.

Hindon Airport in NCR will now be linked with 9 Indian cities — Bengaluru, Kolkata, Varanasi, Goa, Patna, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Indore by IndiGo providers.

Airways fleet, airports, terminal capability, and flyers have doubled in India over the previous decade, the minister stated, reflecting the expansion India’s civil aviation sector has made.
“Throughout 2024-2034, civil aviation in tier II and III cities will develop and we should unlock the potential. Hindon will serve for example,” the minister stated.
With operations from each Indira Gandhi Worldwide Airport (DEL) and Hindon Airport (HDO), flyers primarily based out of the Nationwide Capital Area can be served by these two airports.
The Hindon Airport’s growth work was taken up in 2019 underneath UDAN at Rs 50 crore, in collaboration with Indian Air Pressure, Minister Naidu stated in his handle immediately.
Minister, throughout his speech, stated the annual flyers from Hindon Airport was about 8,000 in 2019, which has risen to upwards of 80,000 now.
