Mumbai Rains: Heavy rainfall lashed Mumbai on Monday, Could 26, as monsoon arrived within the metropolis, inflicting extreme waterlogging and flooding at underground metro stations.
Visuals on the web confirmed rainwater flooding the underground metro stations in Mumbai as passengers waded by the water as they climbed up stairs and navigated by the stations.
The movies confirmed waterlogging points contained in the station premises, together with platforms, ticketing bay and surrounding areas.
Mumbai Metro companies curtailed
Metro companies on some routes have been briefly halted, the Mumbai Metro Rail Company mentioned in a put up on X Monday.

The incident occurred when the RCC water-retaining wall constructed at entry/ exit collapsed attributable to a sudden ingress of water from an adjoining utility.”
As a precautionary measure and to make sure passenger security, practice companies between Worli and Acharya Atrey Chowk have been briefly suspended, the company mentioned.
Nonetheless, the companies from Aarey JVLR to Worli aren’t affected and are operating frequently, it said.
