India has seemingly denied President Donald Trump’s declare of New Delhi providing a zero tariff commerce deal to Washington, with Exterior Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar saying that the commerce talks had been nonetheless occurring.
Talking to reporters on Thursday, hours after Trump’s declare, Jaishankar mentioned that the negotiations are sophisticated.
“Between India and the US, commerce talks have been occurring. These are sophisticated negotiations. Nothing is determined until every part is,” he mentioned.
The Union minister added that any judgment on a possible India-US commerce deal could be ‘untimely’ until the precise deal is closed.
“Any commerce deal must be mutually helpful; it has to work for each international locations. That may be our expectation from the commerce deal. Till that’s accomplished, any judgment on it will be untimely,” he informed reporters.
