The Centre has authorized Rs 3,481 crore to deploy 11,000 electrical buses throughout 5 cities within the first part. Karnataka will get 4,500 buses, Delhi 2,800, Hyderabad 2,000, Ahmedabad 1,000, and Surat 600.

The PM E-drive scheme goals to deploy 14,028 e-buses throughout 9 cities by FY26. The entire finances for this initiative is Rs 10,800 crore. Subsidies vary from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 35 lakh per bus, based mostly on dimension. These shall be disbursed in 4 phases.
