The NSE Nifty index closed 7.8 factors up at 22552.5, whereas BSE Sensex ended down 7.51 factors at 74332.58.
However, IndusInd Financial institution Ltd.(down 3.60 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 2.48 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.10 per cent), HCL Applied sciences Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent) had been among the many prime losers of the day.
