Two unruly passengers have been faraway from a SpiceJet flight at Delhi Airport on Monday after they allegedly tried to pressure their manner into the cockpit whereas the plane was taxiing for departure to Mumbai.
In an official assertion, SpiceJet confirmed:
“On July 14, 2025, two unruly passengers have been offloaded from SpiceJet flight SG 9282 working from Delhi to Mumbai. The 2 tried to forcefully strategy the cockpit and induced a disruption whereas the plane was taxiing.”
The airline additional acknowledged that repeated appeals from the cabin crew, fellow passengers, and the captain failed to discourage the duo from their disruptive behaviour.
“Regardless of repeated requests by the cabin crew, fellow passengers, and the Captain, they refused to return to their seats. Within the curiosity of the protection of all passengers and crew, the Captain determined to return the plane to the bay, and the passengers have been offloaded. They have been subsequently handed over to the CISF,” a SpiceJet spokesperson mentioned.
In response to flight monitoring web site Flightradar24, the flight — initially scheduled to depart at 12:30 pm — finally took off at 7:21 pm after the delay brought on by the incident.
The passengers have been later handed over to the Central Industrial Safety Drive (CISF) for additional motion.
In a separate incident, a SpiceJet flight SG-914 from Pune to Delhi, which had reached the runway for take-off, was compelled to abort departure resulting from a technical subject.
Passengers claimed that the flight, which was initially scheduled to depart at 12pm on July 13, in the end took off at 9:05pm, after a delay of over 9 hours.
