Porvorim, August 08, 2025: To arrange Goa’s youth for tomorrow’s tech-driven job market, the state introduced empanelment of recent Data Expertise Information Centres (ITKCs) below the ST/SC Empowerment by means of ICT Scheme.
The scheme was launched at PAC Corridor Secretariat, Porvorim by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and Hon’ble Minister for Data Expertise, Electronics & Communications (ITE&C) Shri Rohan A. Khaunte, within the presence of Hon’ble Chairman, Data Tech Company of Goa Ltd, Dr. Chandrakant Shetye, Secretary of DITE&C, Shri. Sanjeev Ahuja,, Director of DITE&C, Shri Kabir Shirgaonkar, and Managing Director of Data Tech Company of Goa Ltd, Shri. Praveen Volvotkar.
Talking on the launch occasion Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant emphasised, “We goal to take ITKCs additional by deepening our attain providing free IT programs to SC and ST beneficiaries, and creating clear pathways for self-employment and digital inclusion throughout Goa.”
The brand new ITKCs will come up in Bardez, Ponda, Salcete, Sanguem, Quepem, and Canacona, operated by Data Tech Company of Goa Ltd. (ITG). The ITKCs, which already supply 33 programs, have now added superior applications of foundational and superior coaching, masking Laptop literacy, Moral hacking, 3D design, Web of Issues (IoT), Cyber security for girls, Robotics and Venture administration.
