Titagarh Rail Programs Ltd on Monday handed over its first driverless, Made-in-India trainset to Bengaluru Metro Rail Company’s Yellow Line, marking a major milestone in India’s city mobility journey.
The corporate constructed the trainset in its metro manufacturing facility in Uttarpara in West Bengal.
The automated practice with a chrome steel physique, designed for state-of-the-art efficiency, will function on the 18-km stretch linking Electronics Metropolis to the remainder of Bengaluru. Union Minister for Housing and City Affairs, Manohar Lal, who joined the celebrations just about, counseled Titagarh Rail Programs.

Titagarh Rail Programs’ Managing Director, Umesh Chowdhary, stated the practice incorporates superior automation that allows it to function in driverless mode.

Titagarh will ship two extra trainsets to the Yellow Line by April and ramp up manufacturing to ship two trains a month by September 2025.
