Centre plans to construct 500 tribal-run forest homestays in FY27 to advertise home tourism

The federal government plans to develop 500 tribal-managed forest homestays below a tourism scheme in FY27, aiming to generate rural employment and promote indigenous tradition. The initiative will provide households as much as ₹5 lakh in monetary help to construct or improve tourist-ready rooms.
