The federal government has authorized a report Rs 62,700 crore deal to acquire 156 Mild Fight Helicopters (LCH) from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), strengthening the Indian Military and Indian Air Drive (IAF).
These helicopters will likely be manufactured at HAL’s Bengaluru and Tumkur vegetation, creating jobs and enhancing India’s aerospace sector.
Underneath the settlement, 90 helicopters will likely be delivered to the Military and 66 to the IAF for deployment alongside the China and Pakistan borders.
The LCH, often called Prachand, is the world’s solely assault helicopter able to working at 5,000 meters, making it perfect for high-altitude warfare in Siachen Glacier and Japanese Ladakh.
