Sensex rises 200 factors, Nifty tops 24,150 as RBI’s liquidity measures defy weak world cues

Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty ticked larger on Tuesday, because the Reserve Financial institution of India’s (RBI’s) liquidity-enhancing measures helped counter weak world cues triggered by U.S. President Donald Trump’s continued criticism of the Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell.

The BSE Sensex was up 205 factors, or 0.26%, at 79,613, whereas the Nifty50 rose 52 factors, or 0.21%, to 24,177 round 9:36 am.

From the Sensex pack, Everlasting, Kotak Mahindra Financial institution, Tata Metal, HDFC Financial institution, and Bajaj Finance have been among the many high gainers, rising as much as 3.4% in early commerce. In distinction, IndusInd Financial institution, Infosys, Energy Grid, Asian Paints, and HCL Tech opened within the pink.
