Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Assam on September 8 and can inaugurate a bio refinery at Numaligarh.
Sarma, whereas addressing a press convention held at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Guwahati, stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a bio refinery at Numaligarh, which is able to convert bamboo to 2G ethanol. The plant has been established at a value of Rs 4200 crore. The Prime Minister will even participate in a gathering at Numaligarh.”
CM Sarma stated that at Mangaldoi, he’ll lay the inspiration stone for a number of key infrastructure initiatives.
He stated, “Thereafter, he’ll go to Mangaldoi in Darrang district and he’ll lay the inspiration stone for the ring street of Guwahati, a brand new bridge over the river Brahmaputra connecting Kurua and Narengi, and he will even lay the inspiration stone for the Darrang Medical School.”
Following these engagements, the Prime Minister will return to Guwahati to attend the inaugural ceremony of the year-long centenary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika, organised by the Assam authorities.
“Thereafter he’ll come to Guwahati. He’ll take part within the inaugural ceremony of the year-long celebration of the one hundredth start anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhupen Hazarika, organised by the State authorities of Assam. It’s a day-long programme and we have now already began preparations to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Assam on that day,” Sarma stated.
In the meantime, Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah can also be scheduled to go to Guwahati on August 29 the place he’ll inaugurate the newly constructed Raj Bhawan.
CM Sarma stated, “We now have constructed a brand new Raj Bhawan in Guwahati, and the Union Dwelling Minister will inaugurate the brand new Raj Bhawan on August 29 morning. In current Panchayat polls in Assam, the BJP-led NDA has registered an enormous victory.”
Later within the day, Amit Shah will attend a conference of all newly elected NDA Panchayat representatives within the state.
“A conference of elected all NDA Panchayat representatives shall be held in Guwahati in August, and the Union Dwelling Minister will take part within the conference because the chief visitor. On August 29 night, he’ll attend the programme of celebration of the start centenary of the primary non-Congress Chief Minister of Assam, Golap Borbora, in Guwahati,” CM Sarma stated.
