U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Friday that Nobel Prize winner Maria Corina Machado “personally known as him and stated she accepted the prize in his honor’, after the White Home stated earlier within the day that the Nobel Committee had chosen “politics over peace.”
The White Home had criticized the Nobel Committee’s resolution to grant the peace prize to the Venezuelan opposition chief as a substitute of Trump, who aggressively lobbied for the award and touted his function in brokering worldwide ceasefire offers, Reuters reported.
