Shares of HDFC Financial institution Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Financial institution Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent), IndusInd Financial institution Ltd.(up 1.1 per cent) and ICICI Financial institution Ltd.(up 0.36 per cent) ended the day as high gainers within the pack.
However, Punjab Nationwide Financial institution(down 2.12 per cent), Canara Financial institution(down 1.66 per cent), Federal Financial institution Ltd.(down 1.17 per cent), Axis Financial institution Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent) and IDFC First Financial institution Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) completed as the highest losers of the day.
The Nifty Financial institution index closed 0.32 per cent at 48724.40.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 130.7 factors at 23155.35, whereas the BSE Sensex stood 566.63 factors at 76404.99.
