An IndiGo flight from Guwahati to Chennai with 168 passengers on board made an emergency touchdown at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Worldwide Airport (KIA) after the captain gave a ‘Mayday’ name — a misery name through radio communication – citing inadequate gasoline within the aircraft, Occasions of India reported. The incident comes on the heels of an Air India aircraft crash in Ahmedabad that claimed the lives of 241 passengers, leaving one sole survivor.
