Trump DOJ sued by Epstein prosecutor Maurene Comey over ‘unlawful’ firing

Maurene Comey, a federal prosecutor concerned in prison circumstances in opposition to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, sued the Division of Justice on Monday to get her job again after she was fired from the Trump administration in July.

Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, acquired no clarification for her “illegal and unconstitutional” termination, her attorneys wrote within the lawsuit in federal court docket in Manhattan.

The Justice Division and Comey’s legal professionals didn’t instantly reply to CNBC’s requests for touch upon the go well with.

After Comey was abruptly fired in mid-July, Comey warned that she was being made an instance of as a way to quell potential dissent throughout the DOJ.
